What Happened To AuctionAds?
Seriously? Right after Shoemoney and Dillsmack sold the business off everything dumped off. I was rolling pretty well with it too. I had a great increase in sales and everything was looking great. Then the sale went through and as soon as the text-link-ads.com guys picked it up it just turned into a big pile.
Now I’m not trying to call out the guys at TLA, because they know how to make a great product. My first guess is that they decided they wanted to turn AuctionAds into ShoppingAds and just switch the whole model over. In the process things got screwed up and everyone started losing money. AuctionAds works on a community system too. So the fewer people that use it, the fewer you make on it. Also another contributing factor could be that every reader you normally get is now blind to those ads and now they aren’t as inclined to bid on anything. So many questions…. I have taken them down from all of my sites for the time being. If I hear they are really pulling it together again, I’ll jump on it.

I have also taken both AuctionAds and ShoppingAds down because the revenue dropped significantly and they just stopped working correctly. I’d look at my site and there would be blank spots where the ads should have been. It’s unfortunate because it is a great model.
I’m shocked that Google hasn’t tried something similar to ShoppingAds by letting retailers post their products for sale through the Adsense network.

I agree AuctionAds worked really well prior to the switch.
It would be interesting to see Google use that method of ads, but I would be curious to see if it would be as profitable as AuctionAds was.

That was my experience as well. As soon as Media whiz had complete control it went down hill. I just gave up and took them all off by sites that had them. I do better with the eBay program on my own now instead of AuctionAds.
Nice blog by the way. I will drop by more often.

Funny as it may be, recently I started making some small scratch again on AuctionAds. I have it on one site still(forgot I had left it on there), but its making me a little bit here and there.
I still dont trust it though.
